SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 6-10-22 Greetings everyone! We are excited to announce that our first performance of the Wilmington Beach Concerts will kick off on Thursday June 30 th at 6pm. The first concert will highlight two acts. Tally and Pop kick things off. Followed by Wilmington’s own Dodridge GreyWolf Moore. A full list of concerts will be available soon. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 5-20-2022 What an interesting week! The lore of “Friday the 13 th ” will always have that special memory for the damage that was done to our roof of the Highway garage. Although we have not yet received the cause in writing, we are told that the cause was a microburst and wind event that raised havoc on our 45 year old building. SPECIAL REPORT FROM THE TOWN OF WILMINGTON Please be advised yesterday afternoon around 3:45pm, Highway Superintendent Louie Adragna received a call from our security monitoring service that something was wrong at the Highway Building. Upon arriving he found much of our roof to the shed had been destroyed. At this point and time we do not know the cause of the incident. County and State Investigators were on scene until around 11 pm. What we do know is that the electrical feed was blown off the building and all causes are being investigated. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 5-13-2022 We are happy to report that the splash boards on the town dam are now up and Lake Everest water levels have risen to more acceptable levels. Our water way is just a little better. Although I think most would agree that a sediment removal program is needed to restore our water way to its former glory. Just think of the amount of water the Wilmington Community Dam held back when it was reconstructed in 1937. The restrooms at the town beach are now set for the season. Banners with the Wilmington student’s picture and school are placed around the community celebrating their success. Hello Wilmington!  After a week off and spending the time in the sunny and warm south, I am back at it. I absolutely love getting away from time to time. There are many reasons for this. The first is an internal recharging of my batteries and mind set. The second is that traveling other places makes me realize how lucky we are living in the Adirondacks and Wilmington. Greetings!  In this week’s report I am excited to announce that the Wilmington Get Together scheduled for August 20th  at the town beach will be combined with one of the Town’s Bicentennial events. We are very thankful to the “Get-Together” committee for making this possible. In addition to all the fun stuff that the group normally has available, plans are underway to have a Community parade before the popular event kicks off.  A special Bicentennial Tent will also be set up at the Get Together function with all things “Wilmington”  A little sooner on the summer calendar is a Motley Crue [...]

Hello everyone and thanks for reading another report on some things “Wilmington”.  I start off this week announcing that our Bicentennial Lapel Pins have arrived. They are on sale for a donation of $2.00 each.  The cost of the pins will offset the production expense and help raise additional funds for other Bicentennial activities.   The Commemorative Lapel Pins are really sharp looking and will make a unique keepsake. One can get the pins at the Town Offices, Visitors Bureau and Bicentennial events.
