Hello everyone! I want to start off this week's report giving an update of our potential Wilmington Homestead Housing project. As some may be aware, we recently completed a Preliminary Site Evaluation on what  could be our very first local housing location. The professional evaluation was paid for by a New York State Grant. Our next phase is to have a Jurisdictional Inquiry Form completed for the APA. This is now completed and we appear to be in pretty good shape. This property location, if the "stars" align, could provide up to 6 single family homes. Make no mistake, this is [...]

Greetings! I want to thank everyone that called into our 2022 Organizational Meeting of the Wilmington Town Board this week. The decision to discourage physical attendance was due to the fact we have had many active COVID cases in our community. Consistent with the virus, some of our residents only have mild symptoms while others were really sick. Please remain diligent and keep yourself safe and healthy.  Staying safe and healthy is our goal as we continue to be open at our town offices. During the entire Pandemic we were at work serving the community using several different methods. We do [...]

I start off this week's report with a reminder that we have FREE facemasks and Hand Sanitizer available at the Town Offices for our residents. We also just received a limited supply of other masks as well. We did receive a very small supply of COVID 19 Antigen Rapid Test Kits. Those test kits are not as readily available. However, we are told more are being shipped from the state.  Happy to report that the skating rink is back in operation. Remember, the park building is open Thursday through Sunday until 7 pm. Although the building is not staffed at all [...]

SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 11/5/2021  First and foremost, I want to congratulate everyone that were successful in the recent town elections. I also want to extend a heartfelt "Thank You” to everyone that ran for office. Putting oneself out there in this time period we live is in not easy.  On town issues, I would like to remind everyone that the seasonal speed limit in the notch is at 45 for the winter as part of the Low Salt use study. Also, as Supervisor I have had to call the NYS Police on the construction traffic light not working correctly [...]
