SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 9-16-2022 Starting off this week’s report, I would like to write about something that is more of a reminder. That is the amount of Deer in our area this year. I am not sure if it is just me. However, I have seen a lot more deer on the sides of our area roads. These critters seem to have no fright of jumping into traffic and such. In fact, our own Town Clerk Dawn Stevens had damage to her car back in July from one of these fearless animals. Months later she still awaits repair of [...]

SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING SEPTEMBER 9, 2022 Over this last year as we celebrated the Town of Wilmington’s 200th anniversary, there have been many events and projects that have commemorated our Bicentennial milestone. Although we have focused on history, I am excited to acknowledge our future. On August 26, 2022, at 4:19 am the first baby to be born within the town of Wilmington in years if not decades, drew her first breath. Gracelyn Mary Bruce was born at the home of her parents Eric and Trisha Bruce on Springfield Road that early morning of August. Weighing in at 7 [...]

SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 8-19-2022 What a week! In an effort to be upfront and transparent of my personal choice in filling a vacant seat on the town council, I created some issues for my fellow town board members. I sincerely apologize to each and every one of them for this. I stand by my position and reasons for my views. However, maybe I could have worded myself better. The Town Board did meet on Thursday August 18 th with over 40 people from the community attending the special meeting. Michelle Preston was appointed to fill Paula McGreevy’s unexpired term. [...]

SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 8/12/2022 Hello Friends. I start off this week’s report with some very sad news. On Wednesday August 10, Paula McGreevy resigned her position with the Wilmington Town Board effective immediately. I will let Paula speak for herself as to why she resigned. I will say that words cannot explain how upsetting this is to me personally. I have known Paula my entire life. We are childhood friends. Her lifelong dedication to our community has set the bar for true public service to Wilmington and should be an example for others. Simply put, Paula is one of [...]
