SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 5/17/2024 Definite signs of summer! 75 degrees, sunshine, lunch at the A&W and visitors enjoying themselves in beautiful Wilmington. Another sign: the lawn needs another mow, but I am less stoked about that. Busy week at the town offices as well. STR Amendments At the regular meeting this past Tuesday the board hammered out amendments to the local short term rental law. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 5/10/2024 Greetings— TOWN CLEAN UP DAY—TOMORROW, 9-12 For those planning to help tomorrow, please gather at the beach a little before 9. The weather report shows chilly (54F as a high—chilly enough), but minimal chance of rain. A day or so ago, I posted on Facebook a poster that showed the basic information. We will have some but maybe not enough visibility vests, so please wear bright clothes. Bring gloves. We expect to have some, but again maybe not enough. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 5/3/2024 Greetings— It comes as a bit of surprise (but it shouldn’t) how quickly Spring lands in the North Country. Nothing gradual—just a thump. Not that long ago 8 inches of snow and now I’m late to mow the lawn. And who knows? A Mother’s Day snowstorm may drop in. But the hummingbird feeder is ready. Any sightings?
