Greetings! I want to thank everyone that called into our 2022 Organizational Meeting of the Wilmington Town Board this week. The decision to discourage physical attendance was due to the fact we have had many active COVID cases in our community. Consistent with the virus, some of our residents only have mild symptoms while others were really sick. Please remain diligent and keep yourself safe and healthy.  Staying safe and healthy is our goal as we continue to be open at our town offices. I start off this week's report with a reminder that we have FREE facemasks and Hand Sanitizer available at the Town Offices for our residents. We also just received a limited supply of other masks as well. We did receive a very small supply of COVID 19 Antigen Rapid Test Kits. Those test kits are not as readily available. However, we are told more are being shipped from the state.  Happy to report that the skating rink is back in operation. Remember, the park building is open Thursday through Sunday until 7 pm. Starting out with this week's report, I want to send a huge shout out and thanks to the many volunteers that made our Community Christmas Celebration so successful. My sincere thanks to the Celebration committee, Nicole Forbes, Michelle Preston,  John Langford and Louie Adragna. The Town Staff and our Volunteer Fire Department along with area EMS for being part of the Santa Entourage. | apologize if I forgot anyone because the event was truly a group effort. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 3rd 2021  Tick-Tock, this year is almost over. Hard to believe. This is the time of the season when I start to reflect on where the time went, what we accomplished and what plans are for the future. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK 2021  On behalf of the Town of Wilmington “Team”, we want to wish everyone in our community a Happy Thanksgiving! SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 11/19/2021  Hello and thanks for reading another weekly report from the Supervisor's Office. I start off this week's report congratulating the 2021 Au Sable Valley Lady Patriots Soccer Team for bringing home the New York State Class C High School Championship Title. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 11/5/2021  First and foremost, I want to congratulate everyone that were successful in the recent town elections. I also want to extend a heartfelt "Thank You” to everyone that ran for office. SUPERVISOR'S REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING OCTOBER 29, 2021  I start this week's report reminding everyone that Election Day is this coming Tuesday November 2nd. The Wilmington polls are located at the Community Center and are open from 6 am to 9 pm. Please remember to thank the Election inspectors for their long day of service. Also, do not forget to turn your paper ballot over after voting for the local races. There are 5 New York State Propositions to weigh in on. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 10/22/2021  Hello Wilmington! In this week's report I want to give a reminder that the heating assistance program for Essex County has opened. That means that the county is now accepting applications to help people with fuel bills. Depending on your age and financial ability, either Office for the Aging or Social Services remains ready to assist you. Should you need future assistance, feel free to contact the Supervisors Office.
