SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 4/12/2024 Hello Everyone! FOLLOW UP (AND FINAL) NOTES ON THE ECLIPSE Wilmington rises to the occasion, as it always does. Luckily, we were not inundated by hordes of cars. Heavy traffic was reported going down Fox Farm to Springfield as visitors left Whiteface. But I doubt it was at the volume of traffic I saw on a video from Keene Valley with a many miles long stream of cars headed east on Rte 73 towards the Northway. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 4/5/2024 Hello Everyone! Hope all is well and that everyone shouldered the snow well enough and is now braced for the Eclipse. Next week’s report will, I hope, be the last to cover the Eclipse (pun intended). April 8 th —What to Expect (?) Many have already heard blasted everywhere that if you don’t need to go anywhere on Monday, don’t—stay at home. Of course, no one knows how many visitors Wilmington will have. Town Update: Watching the Eclipse From Marcy Field

Marcy Field is a great spot to view the eclipse with plenty of room to spread out, and it’s free to the public! General parking is located at the hiker shuttle parking lot on Airport Road Those with limited mobility will be allowed to park closer to the main field at the Holt House lot on Route 73 Attendants will be on hand to help direct traffic Portable toilet facilities will be available, but no additional services will be provided With substantial snowfall expected in the region this week, please prepare for wet and muddy conditions.
