SUPERVISOR’S REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 2/16/2024

Greetings-

I had an excellent lunch on Tuesday at the Methodist Church Friendship Hall. Chicken Breast with peppers and melted cheese, roasted potatoes, spinach, and a brownie. There was good conversation too (wildlife, travel, etc.). After the brownie, it was not easy rush back to the office. My thanks to everyone and I look forward to a meatloaf lunch very soon.

Winter Walking

I was asked recently about getting more walking paths open on town property by removing snow and making the terrain more manageable for walkers. Walking outside is a challenge this time of year, especially when the weather moves from rain and 50 degrees to snow flurries and temperatures in the teens. John, Brooke and Ashton work hard on sidewalks. And keeping clear the walking lanes on Springfield Road and Fox Farm is also a priority. We were asked about areas near the youth center and Park Roadno car traffic and paved. The Parks team has started to push the snow to make a path. But please make sure your walking boots are up to the task, with Microspikes or Yaktrax

Ice Rink

The ice rink is open.

Thanks, Favor
